Customer Profile

Delkor Systems, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a leading U.S. manufacturer of advanced robotic packaging systems for the food, beverage, and consumer goods industries. For over 50 years, Delkor has been recognized for continuous innovation in automated end-of-line packaging machinery and package design. The company operates a 300,000-square-foot facility with over 300 employees, supporting major consumer brands with high-performance packaging solutions.

Challenge

Facing increased demand and tighter deadlines, Delkor needed a scalable way to produce high volumes of customized end-of-arm tooling and production-grade components. Traditional manufacturing and previous additive methods could not consistently deliver the required throughput or lead times without adding cost and complexity, limiting Delkor’s ability to respond quickly to customer needs.

Solution

Delkor adopted the Stratasys H350™ 3D printer powered by SAF® (Selective Absorption Fusion) technology to streamline production. The system enabled higher throughput, repeatable part quality, and the production of complex components for packaging systems. By adding the PowderEase™ T1 post-processing solution, Delkor further reduced manual processing time, improving overall efficiency.

Impact

SAF technology transformed Delkor’s production workflow:

  • 30-minute reduction in hands-on post-processing time per build with PowderEase T1
  • Ability to scale production with demand across multiple part SKUs
  • Isotropic, durable parts with injection-mold-like surface finishes
  • 50% faster time-to-part compared to previous AM methods
  • 60% reduction in production costs for tooling vs. prior AM methods

With SAF technology, Delkor can now meet growing customer demands with faster lead times, increased output, and greater design flexibility while reducing costs. This positions Delkor to continue innovating in high-performance packaging solutions for the food and consumer goods markets.
