SAMPE's 2018 spring technical conference and exhibition is right around the corner, taking place at the Long Beach Convention Center, in Long Beach, CA from May 21-24.  Professionals from throughout the advanced materials and composites industry attend SAMPE's conference to find new solutions, learn about the technology that will shape future projects, and engage in meaningful face-to-face networking opportunities, since it’s the only event exclusively dedicated to advanced materials and processes in the North America. The opening keynote, History and Future of Composite Materials will be hosted by Carmelo Lo Faro, the president of Solvay Composite Materials.  He will discuss the evolution of composites over the last 30 years, and give some insight into where he predicts the industry is headed in the near and distant future.

We will also be in attendance this year offering a variety of opportunities to connect with some of our subject matter experts on all things composites. Timothy Schniepp, our Senior Director - Composites Solutions, will be appearing as a part of a panel discussion on the topic Emerging Capabilities in and Applications for Fiber Reinforced Polymer Additive Manufacturing. This discussion will center around the significant progress that has recently been made in maturing polymer based additive manufacturing processes that include fiber reinforcement.  In addition to the panel, you’ll also be able to connect with our some of our applications engineers who are also giving presentations that feature some of our strongest composites case studies featuring Falcon Jet and Santa Cruz Bikes. A bike created by Santa Cruz Bikes will also be on display in our booth, J26, if you want to check it out in person and see for yourself the amazing things that forward thinking companies are using composites to innovate.

Ahead of SAMPE 2018, we are excited to start the conversation around how additive manufacturing can have an impact on tooling applications with a live webinar panel discussion.
